The messaging capabilities of WhatsApp need not be described. Due to the support for connected devices and the millions of users worldwide, WhatsApp’s chat services are now more widely available than before. However, the calling features of the app haven’t had the same accessibility. That might alter shortly.
According to a recent rumor by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp’s desktop clients may soon have a special “Calls” page. The page will give users access to call records and a quicker way to find frequently used contacts, much like the “Calls” tab does on the mobile app.
A dedicated tab like the one found in the mobile apps has been missing, despite the fact that calling support has long been available on desktop clients. Still, in beta, the new addition corrects that.
Users of WhatsApp for Desktop Beta who have updated to version 2.2240.1.0 ought to receive the “Calls” tab as a result of the update. The feature’s availability for stable users is still to be determined, though. It can take a few days to several months to complete.
In other news, the Communities feature has finally been supported by the smartphone version of the WhatsApp program. A more effective way to manage multiple groups is made possible by the organizational function, which also makes announcements more practical.
